stoogesIf you want your funny-bone tickled while you’re visiting Oklahoma City, check out 10/10 Fridays at Stooges Comedy Club. Every Friday during September, Friday night shows start at 10pm and all seats are just $10. Saturday show times are 8pm (non-smoking show) and 10pm.

Bob Biggerstaff leads off the month of laughs with shows on September 5 and 6. Biggerstaff began is career at the legendary Laff Stop performing at open mic night and developed his self-deprecating, sports related style. Biggerstaff can be recognized from television where his stand up has been featured on Last Comic Standing, Dave Attell’s HBO special Captain Miserable, and the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show.

September 12 and 13 brings the talents of Darryl Rhoades to Stooges. With a live show that is as diverse as his performing career, Darryl Rhoades is an entertainer with a history. In 1975 he formed the now legendary comedy/music troupe, The Hahavishnu Orchestra, performing all over the United States and Canada. His material has earned rave reviews and prompted Rolling Stone/ MTV critic Kurt Loder to proclaim him... “one of the most savagely gifted writer/performers in the country today.” His live show can be best described as very original and highly energetic using multiple personalities, rapid fire delivery and satirical music.

Sean Morey - “The Man Song Guy” - hits the stage the weekend of September 19 and 20. Morey has been seen on many television shows including three times on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. “I don’t take no crap from anybody… else but you.” sings comedian Sean Morey in his radio hit The Man Song. Each line starts with a macho roar and ends with a henpecked whimper as in “I’m the man of this house…until you get home” or “I don’t want to hear a lot of whining…so I’ll shut up.” Morey began his career in Boston as a street entertainer doing comedy, magic and juggling on the Boston Common. He soon opened his own comedy school and performed a one man show every Friday night at the Charles Playhouse for nine months straight.

Comedian Prescott Tolk wraps up the month September 26 and 27. Performing comedy since college, Prescott made his national television debut on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend. A veteran of the New York Comedy scene, was a semi-finalist in Comedy Central’s Laugh Riots Contest and the Grand Prize Winner of Stand-Up NY’s Hollywood Improv Contest. Prescott travels to A-list clubs and colleges across the country where he kills audiences with his Jersey boy attitude and chill stoner mien.
