KEY Oklahoma City

Visitors to Oklahoma City can experience the friendship, love, betrayal, passion and forgiveness between a fisherman and a Teacher in the all new musical The Rock and the Rabbi at the Civic Center Music Hall Sept. 17-24. Contemporary music sets the stage as Simon, a simple fisherman, draws audiences of all ages into his story. See how he becomes Peter the “Rock” and begins his journey with the “Rabbi” (Jesus) from the Sea of Galilee, to the agony of the Cross, to the Miracle of the Ages. Combined with explosive percussion and masterful storytelling, The Rock and the Rabbi is truly meaningful theater at its best.

Audiences are raving about this show: “I was blown away by it… you don’t see this, you don’t hear it, you experience it.” – Josh McDowell, Best Selling Author of More Than A Carpenter; “The Rock and the Rabbi exceeded all of our expectations. I am already receiving letters regarding a return.” – Michael Jenkins, Dallas Summer Musicals; “What do you say about a show featuring a dozen gifted and funny musicians, an upbeat and joyful storyteller, and the most excellent story ever told? SEE IT!” - George Flores Musical Director, WWDJ 970AM, New York City; and “I was amazed by The Rock and the Rabbi … I left wishing I had brought friends and family members to the performance. OUTSTANDING!” - Chris Kaiser, Northeast Oklahoma Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

The Rock and the Rabbi kicks off the Celebrity Attractions’ 2006-2007 Broadway Season at the Civic Center Music Hall which also features I Can’t Stop Loving You the genius of Ray Charles, On Golden Pond starring Tom Bosley and Michael Learned, Man of La Mancha and Wicked.
