Visitors to Oklahoma in June have the opportunity to be some of the first to experience a new 24 lane, state-of-the-art Bowling Center. In the entrepreneurial spirit of the people of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, FireLake Bowling Center, a USBC sanctioned Bowling Center, is the newest addition to the many entertainment venues operated by the Tribe.
Set in the heart of Oklahoma, FireLake Bowling Center, which will open to the public on June 10th, is located at 40945 Hardesty Road in Shawnee - a short drive east of Oklahoma City on Interstate 40 to Highway 177 then south to Hardesty Drive. The new facility is located adjacent to the original FireLake Casino. The short drive will be worth the time and experience.
The Citizen Potawatomi’s are known for first class entertainment at their restaurants and casinos and FireLake Bowl is no exception. FireLake Bowling Center focuses on offering excellent customer service in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Designed to be fun for the entire family, FireLake Bowling Center hosts a number of special events including Extreme Bowl, which is bowling in the dark with lots of music and fun every Friday and Saturday night. The facility also features live sporting events on large HD TV’s.
In addition to the 24 lanes, the Bowling Center is home to a Subway Restaurant, San Remo’s Pizzeria, a Redemption Arcade Game Room, and a Bowlers Pro Shop. The restaurants are accessible from the exterior as well as from the interior of the Bowling Center.
While making the short drive to Shawnee, visitors should consider a stop at the FireLake Grand Casino, located at exit 178. This month’s entertainment includes the Casino’s annual car show on June 4th, Little Big Town in concert on June 14th and a chance to win a 2011 BMW Z-4, valued at over $55,000, on June 26th.
Make a day of your trip – golfers will enjoy FireLake Golf Course. The course is nestled amid pecan trees and native grasses, the FireLake Golf Course ranks in the top 10 daily fee golf courses in Oklahoma. Although the course is not extremely long at 6,335 yards, the tight fairways present a very challenging course. The eleven small lakes and a meandering creek provide water hazards on 15 of the 18 holes.
FireLake Bowling Center will be open from 10am to 11pm Sunday through Thursday, 10am to 1am on Friday and Saturdays from 9am to 1am. For more information, call the Bowling Center at 405-275-0404.
