PROFILE: Tanya was born in Fort Lauderdale, graduated from the University of Oklahoma with her degree in psychology, and liked Oklahoma so well – she calls it home! Tanya has worked at the Bricktown Brewery for over three years and enjoys the atmosphere and the guests at the Bricktown Brewery.

Tanya readily admits the best part of her job is meeting new people. Her favorite duties within the restaurant include bartending, cocktailing, and attending to one of the many private parties hosted at the Brewery.

Favorite Restaurants: “If it’s barbeque you’ve got in mind, then of course I’m going to recommend the Bricktown Brewery that features Jake’s ribs. When I’m short on time, I enjoy Pei Wei near Penn Square Mall, for a quick Asian style meal that is always filling. When the weather is not too hot, I like to relax on the patio of Bahama Breeze and enjoy the view of Lake Hefner. The food is consistently great and the view – simply paradise in Oklahoma!”

What to do in OKC: ?“With football season upon us, I would definitely recommend taking a short drive to Norman to experience a Sooner football game or to Stillwater to watch the Cowboys. If going to the game isn’t possible, then I would suggest you head to the Bricktown Brewery where you can join other fans and watch the games on the big screens.

Before or after the game – or just for fun - I would suggest you explore Bricktown, right in the heart of Oklahoma City. A ride on the Water Taxi provides a great overview of the area and after your ride, take a stroll and experience the great shopping, restaurants, bars, or clubs.”
