KEY Oklahoma City

Chuck Thompson
Westin Hotel
Oklahoma City

PROFILE: As a life-long resident of Oklahoma City, Chuck is a wealth of information for visitors. Chuck has been service express agent at the Westin for nearly three years and enjoys going that "extra mile"
to make guests comfortable and feel welcome in Oklahoma City. His favorite part of the job is meeting the business and leisure travelers staying at the Westin and sharing his knowledge of Oklahoma City. In his spare time, Chuck enjoys roller-blading and bicycling around Lake Hefner.

FAVORITE RESTAURANTS: "I have so many favorites it is hard to suggest just one. First and foremost I recommend the Aria Grill right here in the hotel. The Aria is a great choice for a delicious meal - anytime of day. When guest want to taste the local flavor of Oklahoma City, I recommend several of my favorites. For great steaks, I suggest Newton's, just off Western Avenue on 70th; Mickey Mantles in Bricktown; and Twelve Oaks, just north of Edmond on I-35. For Italian food, I recommend Zio's in Bricktown. Not only do they feature great Italian food, guests can enjoy the sights and sounds of Bricktown while dining on their patio."

MUST SEE: "A "must see" while you are in Oklahoma City is the Oklahoma City National Memorial. I suggest people plan to visit the outdoor Symbolic Memorial before touring the museum. This provides them the opportunity to see the Memorial in the daylight. Then on to the museum, which tells the story of the events leading up to the tragedy of April 19, 1995 and the aftermath of the bombing. The tour usually takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete. After a tour of the Museum, I encourage them to see and enjoy the beauty of the Symbolic Memorial after dark. It is an eye opening experience and well worth your time."
