Exotic blooming orchids from around the The south lobby of the Crystal Bridge will transform into a “scent-illating” orchid emporium – filled with high quality orchids from October 6-8, during the “Orchids in October” Orchid Sale. Horticulturalists will be on-hand to help inexperienced growers choose the best orchid variety for their living conditions. Sale hours are 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. Proceeds from the orchid sale will benefit the Myriad Gardens Foundation. Free admission will be extended to all visitors to the Crystal Bridge on Friday, October 7, to celebrate "Orchids in October." "I always look forward to the month of October, when we showcase our extensive orchid collection in the Crystal Bridge. During this month of "Orchid Infatuation" we will have an unusual number of blooming orchids on display that represent some rare and unusual species as well as those considered common. Hundreds of blooms of varying color, form and fragrance will greet visitors on every level of the Crystal Bridge," said Myriad Gardens Manager Allan Storjohann. "Orchids in October" is presented by the Myriad Gardens Foundation – a private, non-profit organization created to provide capital funding and increase public awareness of the Myriad Botanical Gardens. The Myriad Botanical Gardens is located at Reno and Robinson in downtown Oklahoma City. Admission is $6 for adults; $5 for seniors 62+, students 13-18 and adults with a college ID; $3 for children 4-12. Myriad Gardens Foundation members get free admission.
