PROFILE: Carrie has spent the past 20 years in the hospitality industry. She became the General Manager of Edmond’s newest hotel, Fairfield Inn, in June 2006. Carrie’s roots in Edmond are deep. Her family has lived in Edmond since the 1920’s. Her mom actually designed the City’s Seal. Carrie encourages hotel guests to enjoy the diverse selection of restaurants in the area. Her personal favorite is Indian cuisine. If you’re interested in exploring Indian food, Carrie recommends Namaste’s Indian Cuisine, located one block west of Broadway on 33rd Street, in the Edmond Crossing Shopping Center. Another Indian favorite is Gopuram Taste of India, situated at N. Meridian and N.W. 23rd Street, near Interstate 44 in Oklahoma City. For a unique shopping experience, Carrie suggests the glass blown artwork at Blue Sage Studio and the hand-crafted wood nativity sets at With Joy Studios. Both are located immediately east of Edmond, near 15th Street and Anderson Road in Arcardia. If you enjoy festivals, two of Carrie’s favorite annual events are the Downtown Edmond Arts Festival in May and the Edmond Jazz & Blues Fest over Labor Day Weekend. A concierge
(pronounced kon-'syerzh) is the closest thing you can find to your
own personal assistant in a fine hotel. The concierge in your hotel
is there to make your stay in Oklahoma City more enjoyable and hassle-free.
A Concierge can do more than call a cab. Through their contacts, locally,
nationally, and internationally, a Concierge can:
