The Howell Gallery was officially established in 1991 by Linda and Ken Howell. But even as early as the 70's, Ken and Linda saw an increasing amount of artistic talent in Oklahoma. Throughout the next decade, they co-hosted an annual art show to benefit the Mental Health Association of Oklahoma in cooperation with The Wally Findlay Gallery of Chicago. This early exposure to the art business planted the seed and the Howell Gallery was established. Being in the design field themselves gave Linda and Ken a golden opportunity to introduce their clients to the amazing talent that exists in Oklahoma. Since that time, the Howell Gallery has expanded to include artists from Colorado, Texas, Arizona and New York as well as Oklahoma. The Howell Gallery is open to the public each weekday from 10am to 5pm and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. Visitors will experience a friendly atmosphere combined with a dedication to customers like no other in the city. Their relationship with the artists allows them to understand the history and meaning of the art featured in the gallery as well as the artists who contribute to the pieces themselves. The Howell Gallery of Fine Art, one of Oklahoma City’s most prestigious art galleries, displays the works of both regionally and nationally recognized artists.
