Shannon is a licensed massage therapist with Cassady & Company, a spa located in two different hotels in Oklahoma City. The Chicago native has lived in Oklahoma City for the past six years.

WHAT TO DO IN OKLAHOMA CITY:
Having spent most of her life in Chicago, Shannon is always looking for restaurants, retail shops, and excursions that remind her of the Windy City. For visitors who want to satisfy their culinary and cultural curiousities, Shannon recommends the OKC Museum of Art and Museum Café located downtown.

For tourists interested in European cuisine, she suggests LaBaguette Bistro on May Avenue for lunch, dinner, or Sunday brunch. (Be sure to check out the bakery and deli counter before you leave.) For guests who enjoy Chicago-style pizza, Shannon recommends “The Loop Pizza” at Sophabella’s Chicago Grill on May Avenue. Finally, wine enthusiasts should check out Bin 73 on Western Avenue.

Looking for the perfect gift for yourself or others? Shannon suggests “The Market” next to Quail Springs Mall on Memorial Road. “The Market” is an interior galleria with over 100 vendors. While you’re near Quail Springs Mall, she recommends that nature-lovers check out Martin Park Nature Conservancy located at 5000 W. Memorial Road.
