PROFILE: Conrad is a lifelong resident of Oklahoma City and has been working in the hospitality industry for seven years. He began his career at the Renaissance, with jobs ranging from front desk, to bellman and room service. Conrad has been the night Concierge at the Waterford for one month. When he’s not at the hotel, Conrad enjoys painting and working with metal and wood sculptures. He has shown pieces recently at several art shows including the Friskee Gallery in the Paseo District, and installation pieces for Nonzine’s Nonfest and at the Arockalypse art show. When asked about his favorite part of his job, Conrad says it’s the sheer volume of interesting people he has the opportunity to meet. He adds he learns something new everyday as he visits with guests from around the world. FUN FOR THE KIDS: “Ultimate Limits Indoor Skatepark, a fully supervised skate park, located half a block west of western on NW 4th street, is a great afternoon of entertainment for the kids. They offer rentals including helmets, skateboards or full pads depending on your confidence level. Another great choice for the family is taking in a movie at the new Warren Theatre in Moore. The Theatre just opened and features 14 screens, the ultimate in seating and sound - and an amazing menu from their restaurants - which you can order from your seat. It’s truly an experience you won’t soon forget.” WHAT TO SEE: “I think a must see in OKC is the Oklahoma City Museum of Art. They have a beautiful collection of Chihuly glass, including the iconic 3-story tower in the entry. Visitors will also have the opportunity to see the Roman Art from The Louvre exhibit which opens June 19 and runs through October.” FAVORITE RESTAURANTS: “Oklahoma City has dozens of great restaurants - depending on your taste - I have three favorites: Charlie Newton’s - their surf and turf is the definitive article; Pho Hoa - try the vegetarian with a side of quail eggs; and Oklahoma Station BBQ - great brisket sandwiches and fall off the bone ribs - both well priced for such a great meal.” A concierge

is there to make your stay in Oklahoma City more enjoyable and hassle-free.
