Mike
Brunger
Hilton Northwest
Oklahoma City
PROFILE:
Mike has been Front Office manager at the Hilton Northwest for just
over a year. When he’s not working, Mike enjoys spending time
with his wife and two children. In his spare time he enjoys running
and cycling around Lake Hefner. His favorite part of the job is meeting
the business and leisure travelers staying at the property and sharing
his knowledge of all there is to see and do in Oklahoma City.
FAVORITE OKC RESTAURANTS:
" Oklahoma City has lots of choices and lots of great restaurants.
Of course, one of my favorites in right here at the Hilton. Chef Claes
Passmark at the OKC Café, will blow you away with his creations.
I suggest you try my personal favorite, Shrimp de Jonde. Outside of
the hotel, I suggest Nonna's Bakery and Café on South Western.
The culinary skills of Chef Raymond Wilson, combined with the fresh
produce from their own Cedar Spring Farms, makes for wonderful dining
experience. Don't miss dessert—it is the specialty of the house.
Before lunch, allow plenty of time to browse in one of Oklahoma City's
finest gift shops, Painted Door. The gift shop surrounds Nonna's Café.
It, in itself, is a unique opportunity for visitors. I suggest you
call for lunch or dinner reservations, 632-4410."
WHAT TO SEE &
DO: "Visitors to Oklahoma City this month have a unique
opportunity to see and hear Dr. Billy Graham. Beginning Thursday,
June 12 and continuing through Sunday, Mission Oklahoma City will
be held at the Ford Center. Dr. Graham will speak each evening. For
more information, call 681-2003."
A concierge
(pronounced kon-'syerzh) is the closest thing you can find to your
own personal assistant in a fine hotel. The concierge in your hotel
is there to make your stay in Oklahoma City more enjoyable and hassle-free.
A Concierge can do more than call a cab. Through their contacts, locally,
nationally, and internationally, a Concierge can:
- Obtain dinner,
events reservations and tickets when and where no one else can.
- Set up itineraries
for visiting business people.
- Make suggestions
for and help plan sightseeing by bus, car, driver, limousine, or
on foot.
- Provide access
to secretarial and office services, including faxes, telexes and
photocopies.
- Arrange hair,
barbering, nail and beauty appointments.
- Call ahead
to a store and have several outfits set aside if you guess wrong
about the Oklahoma weather, then have your selections delivered.
- Help families
relocating to Oklahoma City obtain information on neighborhoods,
schools, and homes.
- Help with
questions pertaining to other cities - you have a friend anywhere
in the world where there is a Concierge.
The Concierge has
grown to be a trusted resource in the finest hotels in the world. However,
don't just take our word for it. Discover what a concierge can do by
simply asking for assistance. You'll find that a concierge is capable
of meeting the needs of every guest, no matter how discriminating. Concierges
spread good will. Call a Concierge - they won't let you down! As the
#1 visitor destination city in Oklahoma, Oklahoma City has lots to see
and do and whether you visit the Cowboy Hall of Fame, Omniplex, National
Bombing Memorial, our beautiful museums, or stroll along the River Walk
in Bricktown, the concierge staff at your hotel is there to guide you.
