Fountains Galore Featured in H2Oh! Exhibit

An overflowing of ooh’s and aah’s echo through the Crystal Bridge during the Myriad Botanical Garden’s first display of 2004, “H2Oh! Fountains Galore!” The exhibit is on display through July 6.
Water features saturate the Crystal Bridge as visitors explore exhibit. “H2Oh! Fountains Galore!” highlights more than twenty water features sprinkled around the outdoor grounds and nestled beneath soaring palm trees and the spiny desert plants growing in the 224-foot-long Conservatory. Visitors experience everything from meditative water walls to neoclassical fountains and bubbling granite spheres to towering obelisks. Squirting jet streams and tranquil showers of mist surprise and delight guests.

The Crystal Bridge opened its doors to the public in 1988 and is now an ecological refuge overflowing with exotic animal and plant life. The Bridge's jungly setting is a world apart from the Oklahoma landscape. Here, exotic plants flourish, lush palm trees brush against the immense ceiling and a series of dramatic waterfalls stream from rocky outcroppings. Carefree butterflies, darting lizards and giant koi also live in this fanciful ecosystem.

The focal point of the Conservatory is the Gardens’ highly acclaimed 2000-plant orchid collection. Dendrobium, Phalaenopsis, Cattleya, Oncidium, Vanda and Paphiopedilum orchids in all shapes, sizes and colors can be seen peering through the lush vegetation and hanging precariously from palm trees.
