Fountains Galore Featured in H2Oh! Exhibit An
overflowing of ooh’s and aah’s echo through the Crystal
Bridge
during the Myriad Botanical Garden’s first display of 2004, “H2Oh!
Fountains Galore!” The exhibit is on display through July 6. The Crystal Bridge opened its doors to the public in 1988 and is now an ecological refuge overflowing with exotic animal and plant life. The Bridge's jungly setting is a world apart from the Oklahoma landscape. Here, exotic plants flourish, lush palm trees brush against the immense ceiling and a series of dramatic waterfalls stream from rocky outcroppings. Carefree butterflies, darting lizards and giant koi also live in this fanciful ecosystem. The focal point of the Conservatory is the Gardens’ highly acclaimed 2000-plant orchid collection. Dendrobium, Phalaenopsis, Cattleya, Oncidium, Vanda and Paphiopedilum orchids in all shapes, sizes and colors can be seen peering through the lush vegetation and hanging precariously from palm trees. The
Myriad Botanical Gardens is located at Reno and Robinson in downtown
Oklahoma City.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays.
