KEY Oklahoma City

Visitors to Oklahoma City have the opportunity to experience an international theatrical sensation, The Aluminum Show - a unique and energetic event for the entire family – on stage at the Civic Center Music Hall April 12th through 17th.

Ahead of the highly anticipated 2011 U.S. tour, producers have invested an additional $1,000,000 in The Aluminum Show, guaranteeing a never-seen-before extravaganza. The Aluminum Show first debuted in 2003, and since has been seen by hundreds of thousands worldwide. The show quickly became the biggest hit in the 2008 Edinburgh Festival Fringe and received rave reviews including “One of the most visually stunning performances," by the BBC news and “Like the metal itself, the energetic, impressively coordinated performers seem lightweight and malleable," from The Independent.

A stimulating tour de force, The Aluminum Show combines movement, dance and visual theater. The company breathes life into anything aluminum, animating unique forms with extraordinary dancers, gymnasts and amazing special effects. This is a show where gleaming shapes shimmy, shimmer and shatter audience expectations. Accompanied by dazzling lights and pulsing music, this show cranks up the fun meter to all-out joy!

The combination of dance, theater and puppetry, spiced with a healthy helping of humor, is the essence of creating this powerful spectacle. The Aluminum Show uses recovered materials from industrial factories that are re-used to build the set, dress the cast and interact with the audience. Industrial materials are given new and surprising contexts, as they transform into cast members. When visual effects, lighting manipulations and enchanting music are brought together, all senses are on high alert. And with sights and sounds that overcome any language barrier, this family-friendly show provides entertainment for audiences of all ages.

The Aluminum Show is presented by Celebrity Attractions and is part of the Celebrity Attractions 2010-2011 Broadway Season which concludes with 9 TO 5: THE MUSICAL. Tickets may be purchased via phone (405) 297-2264, in person at the Civic Center Music Hall Box Office or online at www.CelebrityAttractions.com.
