PROFILE: Anthony has been with Hyatt Place Northwest for three and one half years. He started when the hotel was operated as its predecessor Amerisuites – before a two million dollar conversion to Hyatt Place – and is proud to be part of the amazing transformation. He began his career in the hospitality career in maintenance, where he worked for 5 months before being promoted to lead maintenance. Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to front of house. He has been a gallery host for almost three years, and while trained on all shifts, he prefers working 3 to 11 – primary check-in hours. This provides him the opportunity to meet people from around the world and share his knowledge of all the great things Oklahoma City has to offer. FAVORITE RESTAURANT: “My favorite OKC restaurant is Kang’s Asian Bistro. Kang's is a great modern Asian restaurant, Sushi Bar, and Sake Lounge featuring flavors of China, Japan, Vietnam, and Thailand. Locally owned, the restaurant now features two locations – one in Edmond, the other just a few blocks from Hyatt Place. I love sushi – and Kang’s offers what I believe is the best in town – served by an experienced, knowledgeable waitstaff.” NIGHT ON THE TOWN: “You have to start with Kang’s – then, depending on season, take in a game with one our minor league teams. The Redhawks – triple A affiliate of the Texas Rangers – begin their season at the Bricktown Ballpark during April. After the game, be sure to save some time to experience Bricktown, our downtown entertainment district.” BEST VIEW: “Oklahoma is known for its abundant water and miles of shoreline – and Oklahoma City has some of the best. When you’re ready to relax and unwind - there is nothing better than catching the sunset, with sailboats on the horizon at Lake Hefner. East Wharf features several great restaurants, great drinks – and the best view in town!” A concierge
