PROFILE: Skip has been a Bellman at the Renaissance Hotel for the last 2 years. He is a life-long Oklahoman – graduating from Westmoore High School in 1999. Prior to joining the team at the Renaissance, Skip managed a fitness center during his college years and says he enjoys helping people live life to its fullest. He plans to continue his career path in the hospitality industry – hoping to manage a hotel in Florida someday – and be a transplanted Sooner.

WHAT TO DO: “Bricktown is a great place to start...and finish. Restaurants are everywhere and all are great – if you want the best steak (quality and service) – go to Mickey Mantles Steakhouse. I receive nothing but praise when I send guests there, they love it. The Hickory Smoked Prime Ribeye is their signature steak and I have not found any steak that beats it.

Lake Hefner is another fun place to experience fine dining with a view: Redrock Canyon, Pearls Lakeside, and Bahama Breeze are my choices. Other great restaurants in the city include: Deep Fork Grill, Sophabellas, Musashi's, and Ted's Cafe Escondido.”

LATE NIGHT: “Now for the late night crowd - Club Pure is the trendy, fun, Vegas style dance club that is a must. Along with Skky Bar, and CityWalk, these are the best clubs in the city. If laying low, and enjoying a cocktail with friends is more your style- LIT, The Purple Bar, and Tapworks are great hangouts.”

ANYTIME: “Need more? Check out the Oklahoma City/New Orleans Hornets and the rest of the NBA teams that play here! If movies are your thing, Harkins Movie Theatre is phenomenal; the Cine Capri is the largest screen in the Southwest and 140,000 watts of Digital Dolby Surround Sound, which intensifies the movie experience.”
