PROFILE: Joey has been with the Water Taxi for the last 3 seasons. He serves in just about every capacity from maintenance to tickets sales, and is also one of the most popular Water Taxi ambassadors. In his spare time—which is few and far between this time of year—he is a self-professed computer geek and not so professional bowler.

FAVORITE PASTIME: “My favorite Oklahoma City pastime, since it's the spring, is Oklahoma Redhawks baseball. The SBC Ballpark is a great place to view a game. It is a beautiful park, which puts fans close to the action. Since the Redhawks are a AAA Club, you are almost sure to see a major league player from time to time. Located in the heart of Bricktown, there are plenty of restaurants and activities to choose from before or after the game. Mix that in with a game, and you’ve got afternoon or evening of fun for the whole family.”

MUST SEE: “If you’re only in town for one day, a “must see” is the Oklahoma City National Memorial. The monument, that has been erected to honor the lives of those lost there, is a sobering place to visit. The site includes a memorial for the victims of the April 1995 bombing of the Murrah Building and a museum that tells the story beginning on April 19, 1995, and continuing to present day. The museum offers a totally different view of the tragedy than what most people experienced watching the television news accounts. While planning your visit, I would suggest you allow at least one and one-half hours for the museum and plenty of time to experience the outdoor symbolic memorial. It is an eye opening experience and well worth your time.”
