KEY Oklahoma City

Visitors to Oklahoma City in February will have the opportunity to enjoy seven comedians – at Oklahoma City’s newest comedy club – Stooges Comedy Club & Piano Bar – during the month. Stooges, located at 70 North Oklahoma in Bricktown, open their doors for two shows each Friday and Saturday night.

The month kicks off Friday, February 1 and 2 with Wynn Reichert – a rapid fire, rubber faced, funny guy from California. No subject is safe with this irreverent, mischievous and self-deprecating George W. Bush look-a-like. At a time when political correctness stifles even the most outspoken, Wynn’s comedy is a breath of fresh air – and he’s not afraid to push the envelope.

Adam Hunter hits the stage at Stooges for two nights – February 8 and 9. Adam is one of the hottest young comedians around today. He is full of exciting energy that makes the crowd go wild. He headlines all over the country, putting his heart and soul into every performance with an act that is brash, deep and most importantly - funny. Night after night, Adam delivers a powerful message that keeps audiences on the edges of their seats.

One special Thursday night show at 9pm for Valentine’s features a double-header with Grandma Lee and LaVantor. Grandma Lee electrifies the stage from the moment she bursts from the starting gate until she crosses the finish line in a blaze of glory. This sassy senior has mastered the art of entertaining audiences of all age with her unorthodox views of family, television and life in general. LaVantor is one of the most original and entertaining acts in the country today offering the most absurd observations made all the funnier by his likable personality and unique delivery. Known for his comical facial expressions and hard hitting comedic brilliance, this combination always results in explosive laughter. Don’t miss this duo February 14 – 16.

Take a trip off the beaten path with Al Ernst, February 22 and 23. With a carefree style and great turn a phrase, he has been called the “Jimmy Buffett” of funny, offering one of the most hilarious shows touring today. Al has been around the world on an adventure as big as his tough, yet fluffy shell of a body - Seminary student, to Professional Wrestler to stand up comedian.

Rounding out the month will be Lachlan Patterson, February 29 and March1. Lachlan mesmerizes his audience with his enthusiasm for joke-telling turning the most unfortunate events of the human condition into laughs.

Stooges Comedy Club & Piano Bar features one show Friday night at 9 and two shows – 7 (non-smoking) and 9pm - Saturday night. Tickets are available in advance by calling 405-232-6463, or at the club the night of the show.
