KEY Oklahoma City

If you're looking for a steak that will linger in your memory, Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse should be your destination. Opening its doors in 2000 in the ever-expanding Bricktown entertainment district, to the delight of local residents and business travelers alike, Mickey Mantle’s offers a true taste of Oklahoma City, in a comfortably upscale dining experience.

Named for baseball great Mickey Mantle, the restaurant serves prime steaks, fresh seafood and fine wines in a warm and inviting setting. Living up to that standard, Mickey Mantle’s showcases some of the best beef in the country.

General Manager Joe Cleveland isn’t shy when it comes to bragging about Mickey Mantle’s food and service. “Just like the legend himself, we strive to hit a homerun for every guest,” Cleveland said. “We have many regular diners who consider us to be the best steakhouse in Oklahoma. And that’s a lot to live up to since Oklahoma City is based right in the heart of Oklahoma mystique,” he added.

Bricktown is the most popular destination for visitors to Oklahoma City, drawing people to a revitalized part of the city for shopping, dining and special events. While you’re in the district, be sure to take time to visit the new Bass Pro Shops. The store is a sportsman paradise, featuring nearly three football fields of shopping fun. The focal point of the store is the 30,000-gallon aquarium, featuring native Oklahoma fish, which will mesmerize visitors for hours.

Take time to browse through galleries and shops or take in a movie at the new Harkins Bricktown 16. The new complex is designed to elevate the motion picture experience with comfortable seating, complete food service and childcare facilities for patrons. The primary theater in the new facility features the largest movie screen in Oklahoma, measuring 70 feet wide.

Jump on a Water Taxi and cruise on the one-mile pedestrian water canal past fine restaurants, clubs and shops on the sparkling downtown river walk. As the sun starts to set, experience the hottest nightlife in town at popular clubs, many featuring live music.

When its time for dinner, Mickey Mantle’s is the dining destination of choice. An all-time Oklahoma City favorite, the striking restaurant draws a varied crowd of diners – locals and visitors alike - eager to sample some the best cuisine and superior service in Oklahoma, not to mention excellent, hand-cut USDA prime steaks.

Mickey Mantle’s is also an exciting live entertainment venue, spotlighting local talent with performances in the Lounge. Guest can also enjoy a daily complimentary happy hour buffet in the Lounge beginning at 4:30.

Dinner at Mickey Mantle’s is highlighted by an array of appetizers, such as the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail with pepper vodka cocktail sauce; Grilled Salmon Tostadas and the restaurant’s signature Fried Pickle Chips.

Famous for its selection of hand-cut USDA prime steaks, Mickey Mantle’s serves a carefully edited selection of prime beef that includes a Cowboy Cut Ribeye; Pepper Steak, a prime filet mignon pressed in cracked peppercorns with cognac pepper sauce; Prime New York Strip, and Tournedos Oscar topped with crab, béarnaise and asparagus. Along with its mouthwatering selection of prime steaks, Mickey Mantle’s also serves the freshest seafood in Oklahoma City. From Shrimp Scampi and the Grilled Salmon Filet to Ahi Tuna Steak, Lobster and Alaskan King Crab Legs, there is something on the menu for every taste.

“Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, entertaining clients, or simply having dinner with family and friends, there is just no better place to dine than Mickey Mantle’s,” Cleveland said. “We invite you to experience the best of dining in Oklahoma.”

No evening at Mickey Mantle’s is complete without a taste of one of the restaurant’s signature house made desserts, including a creamy chocolate mousse, crème brulee, or the always-favorite chocolate cake.

The restaurant, which is open for dinner daily at 5 p.m., offers a full-service bar, private dining rooms and complimentary valet parking for guests.
